OPERATIONS SUPPORT MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

? Manages a team of support engineers that provides 24x7 support for multiple eCommerce website and the back end applications that support them

? Will be responsible for analyzing. Prioritizing and assigning Helpdesk Tickets relevant to applications and processes.

? Designs, estimates and codes, unit tests and debugs production issue and minor enhancements  

? Works closely with  business units and other development groups to ensure programming needs are met and understood

? Implements appropriate solutions to problems with minimal guidance and little direct supervision

? Recommends new strategies, innovative ideas and technologies to improve the stability of the applications and increase user self-service

? Implements common administrative controls for both internal customers and external users

? Coordinate application releases that consolidate bug fixes and minor enhancements  with QA and other development groups

? Analyze tickets and identify trends and produce relevant processes and documentation of routine maintenance procedures

? Mentors  and ensures continuing development of skills of junior team members

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

? Strong analytical and coding skills

? Able to grasp new technologies quickly

? 7 years of software development experience

? 3 years of Extensive experience managing/leading small project teams of Software Engineers

? 3 years of  Visual Basic Component development

? 2 years developing in VB.Net and C#, strong understanding of .Net

? Proficient in SQL Server development

? Proven ability developing stored procedures, functions & jobs

? Extensive experience managing/leading small project teams of Software Engineers

? Clear understanding of implications and solution to bandwidth utilization in high SQL traffic environments

? Passion for creating simple and powerful and easy to use end-user solutions

? Excellent communication and cross-group collaboration skills

? Proven track record and experience with delivering projects on a hard deadlines

? BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field

? Experience in web application development using Microsoft technologies will be a plus
