ORACLE Database Administrator
Job Purpose:
Survey Sampling International, LLC is a rapidly growing global market research information services company headquartered in Fairfield, CT. The Information Systems Group is seeking an energetic, service-oriented technical professional for its ORACLE environment.
* Able to work with a wide array of technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization.
* Work occasional nights or weekends.
* Possess strong trouble-shooting skills.
* Multi-tasker.
Duties:
* Work under the supervision of a Senior ORACLE Database Administrator.
* Attend to common, daily ORACLE management functions to include user management, ORACLE client installation and tablespace monitoring.
* Work with other departmental staff to integrate ORACLE RDBMS and corresponding client software on the local area network.
* Develop ORACLE database administrator documentation.
Skills/Qualifications:
* College graduate ? Bachelors Degree.
* 1 ? 2 years of hands-on ORACLE database administration.
* Prior ORACLE certified training in database administration.
* Modest command of Shell programming in a Linux environment.
* Strong SQL language skills. Modest programming skills with PL/SQL.
* Prior ORACLE experience on Linux or other UNIX variants.
* Prior experience with SQL Server.
