ORACLE ERP Project Planner

Job description:




- Overseeing and accountability for small projects or phases of more complex projects
- Ability to manage all aspects of assigned projects from beginning to end
- Coordinating activities of project team to accomplish specific objectives within a given timeframe with available resources, within defined budgets
- Responsibility for reporting status, risks and issues to higher-level management
- Leading a project team within a matrix environment
- Assisting program manager in current program/project planning activities for constructed response scoring and coordination including creation of baseline project schedules, work breakdown structures and network diagrams, communications planning and management, development of quality assurance plans, risk analysis and monitoring systems, management of integrated change control
- Assisting with scope definition
- Identifying and documenting product or service descriptions and requirements for project schedules, milestone delivery and identifying schedule constraints
- Leading cross-functional teams on small projects including planning activities, execution and control of project plans, monitoring and reporting results to sponsor and key stakeholders
- Utilizing project management software and providing support to colleagues requiring assistance with project management software
- Collecting and reporting data associated with scoring metrics, quality goals as defined by manage-ment and key stakeholders, and suggesting corrective action for variances to budget or schedules
- Documenting lessons learned
- Maintaining and tracking project budgets
- Assisting in identification of technical issues and working with management to define solutions

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:

Experience/Abilities:


- MUST HAVE BS DEGREE AND PMP CERTIFICATION
- 2-5 years of progressively responsible project management is preferred with a working knowledge of all phases of a project life cycle, initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closeout


- Proficiency in MS Office suite, Visio and MS project
- Familiarity with the major ERP products (Oracle and PeopleSoft) and in-depth knowledge of one product, preferred
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to facilitate meetings, manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, responsive and work as part of a team to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Superior interpersonal skills, creative solution and problem solving skills
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize own work
