The position is located in Hudson, OH

 

The purpose of the department is the purpose of the Data Center Operations department is to provide operational support of batch applications, infrastructure and operating systems. The scope of this job includes both incident and problem management in a Mainframe environment.

 

The scope of this job is the daily processing of batch schedules in a Mainframe environment utilizing ESP, JCL and TSO/ISPF as well as working with applications owners, clients, technical support groups and leadership to resolve processing issues.  This job is targeting off-shift hours.

 

The individual will be responsible for

 

1. Responsible for maintaining the daily batch processing schedules within an IBM mainframe and distributed systems environment.

2. Primary role is to ensure system availability and stability meet or exceed SLA's.

3. Good communication skills will be essential when dealing with business users, application support staffs and infrastructure support personnel.

4. The ability to work off shifts in a 24/7 environment

5. Other duties as required

 

The skills required are:

 

1. Intermediate - Mainframe experience, with a working knowledge of JCL and ESP

2. Intermediate - Communications skills both written & verbal

3. Intermediate - Problem solving skills, ability to multi task in a highly demanding environment and must have the ability to interact in a team environment

 

Experience Required:

Minimum 1 year experience in a Mainframe Operations

 

Computer Proficiency:

JCl, ESP, TSO/ISPF, Windows, Microsoft Office Products

 

Education:

College Degree - Preferred

Major preference: Computer Science and Business Administration
