OVIS - Technology Consultant

We are looking for a Technical Consultant to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical consulting expertise to internal project teams and customers for solution development and problem resolution. You will shape technical direction and strategies within organization, and contribute to organizations profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities.

For prompt consideration, you should have a deep understanding of OpenView Internet Services (OVIS) architecture and design, including: OVIS remote probes, OVIS management server, and OVIS database. Experience developing several OVIS Custom Probe builder transactions of significant complexity to monitor both Windows Win32 client-based applications and Java applications, using the Sun Java Access Bridge is necessary. Experience developing several OVIS HTTP multi-step transactions of significant complexity to monitor Web-based applications, including Web apps which require authentication will also be required. You should have software lifecycle skills, to manage development, testing, release, maintenance, and version control of OVIS transactions; experience integrating OVIS event flow into OpenView Operations (OVO), OpenView ServiceDesk (OVSD) and other system management frameworks are preferred. A familiarity with Windows scripting expertise, including: JScript, VBcript, DOS batch, and Perl along with general troubleshooting skills are profoundly preferred.
