Position Description:

Chevron Global Gas / Natural Gas is accepting online applications for the position of an OpenLink Endur Developer (0608-50149181) located in Houston, TX through August 24, 2006.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Chevron Natural Gas (CNG) is looking for an experienced OpenLink Endur developer to join its IT organization. The successful candidate must have the aptitude, attitude and energy to be part of a high performance team that supports the performance and growth of CNG. CNG's IT organization provides business analysis, application development and application support for the full life cycle of the gas marketing and trading business. Relocation benefits will not be offered.

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with business users and technical team members to determine appropriate solutions for business needs.
- Perform technical analysis and design.
- Design, develop and maintain AVS scripts, system customizations and interfaces.
- Provide scripting techniques and mentor other developers in designing, developing and troubleshooting AVS scripts
- Thorough understanding of natural gas marketing and trading REQUIRED.
- Deep experience with OpenLink Endur and associated technologies REQUIRED.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Application development and support experience with strong technical skills in one or more programming languages / development environments. Experience with Openlink Endur AVS scripting and Oracle RDMS technology. Knowledge of other Endur related technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Experience with mission critical application technology, support processes, and technical infrastructure management. Demonstrated ability to consult with other team members on complex application support issues. Ability to analyze these issues when problems arise in the 7X24 hr environment, discern the consequences and take appropriate action.
- Technical: In-depth understanding of Openlink Endur including AVS scripting, toolkits and SDK, database interfaces, customization of real-time position pages, and service engines. Ability to perform troubleshooting and system performance analysis. Ability to create technical design specifications in accordance with established standards. Ability to mentor other developers in AVS
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team environment. Ability to work with others to accomplish group goals and implement process improvements. Able to interface effectively with all levels of personnel across organizations, across functions and within teams.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to provide support to front, mid and back office personnel. Communicates in clear, concise, understandable manner, both orally and in writing. Encourages open expression of ideas and opinions.
