Operations Analyst

Operations Analyst Description: Volt Information Science, Inc. Systems Development Operations team is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the Front Office Applications. The successful candidate must demonstrate multitasking abilities, feels comfortable working on multiple projects with multiple departments and multiple deadlines. An enthusiastic, self-motivated, team oriented with the drive to learn, implement, and work with new technology.




Requirements:
The successful candidate must have 5 to 10 years of hands-on Windows system administration and management experience.
Administration experience in Windows 2000 and 2003 servers and infrastructure, Windows 98 and above operating systems and network interfaces. Strong understanding of Cold Fusion web service application. Understand the principals of project management to track projects and their progress.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for the development of policies and procedures.
Experience with performance metrics to measure services and internal business process. BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
Strong background on the management of data replication, change management principals, quality assurance and disaster recovery.
Technical knowledge and experience including; Windows 2002 & 2003 Server environment with node clustering, HP Openview, WebTrends, Spotlight monitoring tools. Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Project, Exchange, etc. Strong understanding of SQL servers and replications. Batch file scripting, and use of Windows utilities and monitoring tools. Working with: HP and Dell Servers and SAN storage devices.
Network protocols such as TCP/IP, FTP, etc. and CL programming is a plus. Duties and responsibilities: Perform analytical and technical support on all company strategic initiatives. Manage all issues related to Systems Management across multiple platforms, computer operations (batch) support, system tuning, network monitoring and support capacity planning initiatives.
Develop technical documentation, proposals, project justifications and feasibility studies. Perform routine system maintenance.
Development system management metrics. 7x24 support rotation.
