Summary

Our client is a fast-growing start-up company that is financed by some of the top venture capital firms in the country. This position offers candidates the opportunity to join an incredibly talented and high-energy team to bring our revolutionary new products to market.

The product is a complex end-to-end system that is deployed in a multitude of network architectures, and is based on object oriented designs in both Java and C++. The Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and high quality deployment, production and post sales support of the product and its unique components. This position is expected to be a hands-on managerial role, initially focused on the roll out of the database servers for a key consumer electronics customer.

Responsibilities
? Establish and implement the company?s operations plan for systems deployment and customer support
? Provide production engineering and planning for the company?s peripherals products
? Build a highly productive operations team and manage the day to day work priorities for this growing staff
? Continuous improvement of operational efficiency
? Budget management and control of capital expenditures and operations expenses
? Ongoing communication of operations status to appropriate stakeholders and executive staff
? Initiation and management of external third party operations contracts


Job Requirements
? B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
? Minimum 5 years in supervisory role
? Minimum 3 years of related professional experience, including NOC deployments and server management
? Successful track record in getting results through an operational team
? Highly proficient project scheduling, tracking and risk management skills
? Proven contract negotiation skills
? Effective oral and written communication skills

Desirable Qualifications
? Master?s degree in a Technology or Business domain
? Access to network of potential high quality operations personnel
? Experience with deployment and support of consumer software products
? Advanced problem solving and facilitation skills
? Server administration experience including knowledge of MS SQL administration, stored procedures, and SQL queries
