Oracle 9i-10G DBA

Essential Job Functions:

? Creation of ORACLE databases.

? Standardization of ORACLE database environments.

? Develop and administer processes for performance tuning of databases.

? Develop and administer processes for capacity planning.

? Provide proactive performance monitoring of databases ensuring service levels are met.

? Administrate change control of physical data structure for all environments.

? Develop and administer backup, restore and disaster recovery procedures for databases.

? Create physical data structures from either vendor supplied data base design or custom data base design for all environments.

? Look beyond initial design requirements to create optimal database configuration that meets the business needs.

? Provide primary and backup support to ORACLE databases.

? Provide 7 x 24 on-call support on a rotating basis for ORACLE databases.

Administration of Oracle DB's 9i and 10G

REQUIREMENTS:

? Bachelor of Science degree in a data processing related field or relevant job experience.

? Must have excellent communication skills demonstrating written and interpersonal abilities.

? Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

? Must have proven database administration experience with ORACLE 9i and 10G.

? Proficient with Oracle?s Recovery Manager and Tivoli?s Storage Manager.

? Oracle Failsafe experience a plus.

? Database administration experiences with SqlServer, UDB or Informix a plus.
