Oracle Application 11i DBA

Looking for a strong and stable company with up to date technology?  This is the place!!! Senior Application 11i DBA ? Install, upgrade, debug, and patch Oracle and Oracle Applications software. Create, configure, and tune Oracle database instances. Install, monitor, tune, and patch Oracle Applications software (Concurrent Managers, Web listeners, etc.) Provide support, when requested, to the Development staff in the areas of code tuning, security, naming standards, database structure, and space allocation. (And hopefully work with them to document these requirements for ease of implementation and enforcement.) Protect, when possible, the integrity of the database by enforcing security, naming standards, database structure requirements, and space allocation standards. Actively monitor the database looking for bottlenecks or security concerns. (run-away sessions, excessive locking, improper access, etc.) Provide for backup and recovery of the database data and supporting software, including disaster recovery planning. Assign and Provision access to Oracle Applications. (This is controlled through the ITSECURITY group now, but we have to create ids and grant access in response to their requests.) ***** This is a Confidential search for all Candidates *****
