Oracle Applications Developer  

 

The Enterprise Systems Team at eToys Direct is looking for an Oracle Applications Developer.  This person will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting critical IT projects and activities within the eToys Direct Enterprise systems team.  In addition to meeting the technical requirements of this position, the successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team setting, and will possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities:

 

? Work with business leaders to understand new business requirements and develop the technical specifications to support those business needs

? Design, develop and implement enhancements to the Oracle application workflow and software

? Design, develop and implement new and enhanced interfaces with other systems such as the web site, fulfillment systems and customer support systems

? Research and resolve unexpected problems that arise in the application?s processing

? Run scripts and queries as needed to support development and project initiatives

? Document system configuration and application enhancements as needed

? Provide both technical and functional level guidance to other IT and business associates

 

Requirements:

 

? Minimum of two years experience in a full-time development role supporting Oracle Applications 11i:  Order Management, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger in a production environment

? Unix Solaris

? Windows NT/2000

? Strong PL/SQL skills

? Strong SQL skills, including SQL tuning

? Comfortable with Unix/Linux file system, shell

? Experience with SQL Server is a plus
