Oracle Applications Engineer - Financials
Exciting, permanent position for Oracle programmer with Oracle e-Business Suite experience. This role is with a fast-growing company in Portland, OR.
The person in this position will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of released code and enhancements to be included in patch releases. The person will work closely with our Senior Oracle Software Engineer in reviewing proposed changes, discussing implementation options, and ensuring forward compatibility with future releases. In this capacity the engineer will conduct a full range of programming tasks including troubleshooting, debugging, program design, coding, testing, and documentation. Secondary responsibility will be to work on general release and product enhancement work as schedule permits.
Tasks Performed:
Perform programming and unit testing tasks to existing and new code based on design discussions, input from the BSA, and customer-reported issues
Being a contributor to ongoing design, development, delivery, and support of our Oracle integration products
Programming and unit testing tasks to existing and new code based upon design discussions, customer-reported issues, and input from Marketing, Services, and Support
Unit and performance testing of design as part of development cycle
Writing technical specifications, program documentation, and unit test plans for all work performed
Maintaining a working relationship within Development and with cross-functional peers including QA, Support, and Tech Pubs.
Assisting in QA process and customer issue resolution where needed
Essential Functions:
Must have strong PL/SQL programming knowledge, Oracle E-Business Suite data model background, and ability to quickly debug or troubleshoot problems
Be familiar with technical and functional implementation details and issues related to Oracle E-Business Suite applications including OM, AR, PO, AP, GL, FA, and Project Accounting
Have broad experience in application architecture, design, data modeling & application tuning
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Be an effective team member and strong individual contributor
Desired Education:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business
