Oracle DBA - Banner - SUN - NT

The Judge Group is currently looking for an Oracle DBA for a 6-month contract for one of out clients located in the Durham, NC area.

MUST HAVE Banner experience 

- Database performance tuning, designing the logical and physical database structure, defining sufficient error handling rules from the database layer into the application layer, define/tune database interfaces to server components that deal directly with the database layer.
- Perform database analysis and tuning Database security, secure sensitive systems and the set up/delete access to sensitive systems on Oracle, NT and other applications.
- Review daily security-related reports to monitor security violations and use judgment to assess security-related risks, respond to requests from auditors, review options for new systems/technology; develop functional/technical specifications for security-related reports, Oracle networking, analyze critical front to back processes and shared infrastructure and objectively assess availability, develop architectural strategies which will lead to a highly available and recoverable environment.
- Develop and implement Sun Solaris related infrastructure projects, administration of Oracle in a Sun Solaris environment.
- Participate in technical strategic decisions, capacity planning and database migration, assist developers with techniques to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of applications, scripts and other code, working knowledge of SQL/PL/SQL, develop
