CDI has an Immediate Need for an Oracle DBA

Long Term Contract  (W2) Opportunity available in Sterling Forest, NY. 

 

Work Shift: 1st shift
Level: J
Weekend Coverage: Weekend coverage is required.
On Call: Needs to be on-call
Years Experience: 3+
Travel Required: Travel is not required.
Education:BS or equivalent

These are the normal daily tasks that every DBA would need to perform:
1. Database backups (off-line and on-line)
2. Database recovery
3. Database reorganization
4. Database imports and exports
5. Object definition
6. Creation of Oracle User ID?s
7. Database System Security
8. Grant privileges on Procedures to application administration ID?s
9. Ownership of master Oracle ID?s and ID?s that have DBA authority
10. Ownership of Schema owner ID?s (depending on customer and application requirements)
11. Database problem determination
12. Database space monitoring
13. Definition of database server communication parameters (e.g., SQL*Net)
14. Database performance monitoring and tuning
15. Oracle Software Support (i.e., perform installations and upgrades/patches of database and software)
16. Adhere to department processes, procedures, and work instructions
