Oracle Database Developer

Full-time/Permanent Oracle Developer position immediately open in Charlotte, NC!  If you're an experienced Oracle Developer & interested in working for a renowned financial services firm in a dynamic environment with excellent growth opportunity & advancement potential then this is the position for you. 

In order to be eligible for this position though you MUST be either a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (H1 Candidates NOT eligible) & be local to Charlotte, as client is not paying relocation costs or any expenses associated with interviews if travel is required.  So if you are open to relocating for this position please be aware that you will have to cover those costs as well as be available to interview in-person on short notice (1 to 3 days advance notice).

The other must have requirement in order to be eligible & considered for this position is prior, or current, experience working at a Financial Services firm--this is a must. 

As an Oracle Developer you will work on technical design and development using Oracle 9i/10g including writing SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, basic data modeling, performance tuning and technical documentation.

Required Skills Include:
- Experienced Oracle-PL/SQL Developer interested in a fast paced environment with opportunity to

learn the Capital markets business.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries and creating reports by using Stored Procedures.
- Some DBA level skills, especially around performance optimization and DBMS job scheduling.
- Solid understanding of RDBMS systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with business partners and technology team

with equal ease.
- Prior experience in financial services or banking industry, with a strong acumen and interest to learn

  Capital Markets and risk management.

Pluses Include:
- Experience importing and exporting data across various file formats (Access, DBF, text, XML, etc) in and

  out of the database would be a plus .
- Knowledge of Excel/VBA a is preferred especially as it relates to communicating with the Database using

ODBC/OLEDB and ADO.
- Business knowledge in Capital Markets, preferably Credit Risk, Fixed Income products and derivatives a

huge plus.
