Oracle Database Developer/Analyst

Nexus Technologies, Inc., has immediate need for Oracle Database Developer/Analyst to support project with the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, DC.  Applicants must have US Citizenship and the ability to pass an extensive background investigation, which includes fingerprints.

Will develop and maintain the database logical and physical data models. Will develop and maintain the database logical data model repository and technical documentation and reports for the Project. Will interface with production DBAs to address problems and concerns in the application. Will resolve problems with application releases; and support the development, testing, training and acceptance testing environments. Will develop and maintain project information and reports for the Project Office and other team members as needed. 

Requires proficiency with Oracle development tools including Oracle 9i, 10g, Designer 2000, Oracle design optimization tools, TOAD, SQL PLUS, and PL/SQL. Requires experience in maintaining large, high performance database. Must have experience with relational databases; familiarity with Oracle 9i and greater application tools is a plus. Must have proficiency in working with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Applicants must have BA/BS in technical degree field, and strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Requires US Citizenship and eligibility to pass an extensive background investigation.
