OVERVIEW:
?The Oracle Database and System Administrator will assist in the design, development, deployment and documentation of information systems security that focuses on confidentiality, integrity and availability over corporate assets and technical infrastructure. The position requires a strong technical knowledge of security deployments within a large diverse hardware and software environment. In addition, the position requires knowledge in the deployment of an industry standard security or equivalent. The person will work with a variety of technology and business professionals within Arvinmeritor corporate, other ArvinMeritor Business Units and business partners to establish, enhance, document and monitor overall information systems security architecture and controls
?The Oracle Database nad System Administrator will also assist the DBAs in the deployment and effective utilization of Oracle database and application technologies, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning software, and information technology management tools.

DIMENSIONS:
?This position supports thousands of internal customer both domestically and internationally.
?The position must interface with external customers and vendors.
?The position supports the internal DBA team

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
?Assists in the planning, design, and implementation of security for the technical architecture and applications
?Monitors security logs and systems security of technical infrastructure and applications to ensure accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and compliance with ArvinMeritor Policies.
?Maintains overall security documentation that is required as part of the ArvinMeritor security standards and Policies
?Provides ongoing reports to management that identify key violations in accordance with corporate security policies
?Participates in escalating and responding to security threats and vulnerabilities found within the system infrastructure and applications
?Participates in periodic security examinations that tests the overall integrity of the technical infrastructure, applications and controls. This will focus on authentication, access, segregation of duties, integrity and auditing controls within the assigned systems.
?Assists in the design and development of an ongoing training program that focuses on security awareness throughout the organization
?Works with outside vendors, IS staff members, end-user departments and outside business partners to enhance overall IT security.
?Deployment and effective utilization of Oracle database and application technologies, Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning software, and information technology management tools.
?Assists in the developing and enhancing security policies and procedures that support and meet strategic, tactical and operational objectives.
?Participates in ongoing reviews of current and future security hardware and software products that comply with industry standards and best practices



EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
?A Bachelors degree in or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or licensure/certification
?2-5 years of knowledge with the planning, designing and deployment of information system security and industry best practices
?Proven competency of security within appropriateInformation Technology Architecture or application
?Proven knowledge with industry security standards and policies that focus on both domestic and international compliance.
?Oracle Certification for 9i database administrationis strongly preferred
