Job Description:

 

Provide Production support for critical applications and environments. Develop and maintain PL/SQL code and database objects. Assist developers in optimizing and tuning PL/SQL code.
Interface with 3rd Party Service Provider performing Database Administration Support. Provide assistance to the staff on all technical issues regarding Oracle databases. Work as part of enterprise team defining standards and best practices for Oracle and SQL Server. Maintain documentation.

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent experience. 3-5 years experience working with Oracle (versions 7, 8 and 9i). Experience working with SQL Server. Ability to read/comprehend & code DDL/DML scripts. Understanding of and experience in software development lifecycle practices. Experience supporting existing production systems that support critical business functions. Experience developing Unix scripting (AIX). Experience supporting Oracle in a Windows (NT & 2000) and Unix (AIX) environments. Knowledge and experience with database utilities including (imp, exp and sqldlr). Experience supporting Web based applications (IIS). Strong Technical and analytical skills. Good communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Knowledge of networking and enterprise systems architecture.
