Oracle Developer III



As an Oracle Developer in our Corporate Information Services Department, this role will be responsible for the life cycle development efforts of Oracle applications, for our KLC Internal/External Customers.

 

Responsibilities include: planning, developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing the Oracle applications environment, as well as all associated interfaces and reporting. The Oracle Developer will also be a team member on internal projects governed by the PMO.

 

Essential Functions:

 
Demonstrate solid understanding of Oracle Applications development tools and methodologies.
Mentor colleagues in best practices for architecture design, in implementing business solutions.
Proactively identify, build and maintain relationships with business process owners and colleagues.
Demonstrate solid ability to understand, analyze and solve problems.
Orchestrate alternative technology solutions for business requirements.
Recognize and promptly advise management of potential problems and or potential follow-up business opportunities.
Understand the mechanics of project administration, project timelines, budgets, issue tracking/resolution and status reporting.
Produce quality deliverables on time and within budget.
Keep current with new products/technologies that Oracle and Non-Oracle software provides, for continuous improvement in KLC's Application Architecture.
Operate with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions, in determining the technical direction of projects.
Participate in team discussions and provide input to the development of the IT strategic plan.
Advance knowledge of Oracle applications, Rel 11.5.10, technical architecture and business flow and have the ability to carry out technical upgrades for custom codes during system wide upgrades.
Independently perform complex programming tasks and resolve related issues, assume responsibility for complete design issues, have independent responsibilities for assigned projects, and provide support on more unique problems.
Minimal travel - up to 10%.

 Experience and Education:

 
BS or BA in computer science, business or equivalent required.
5+ years of experience in Oracle development technologies such as PLSQL, SQL Plus, Developer 2000, 9i and workflow.
Excellent knowledge of Oracle's CRM and Financial Data Models.
Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware tools (XML Gateway, XML Publisher, BPEL Process Manager, etc).
Source control and version control for change management.
Extensive application support experience.

Problem solving skills and demonstrate strong working knowledge of using Oracle Metalink.
Strong influencing skills and ability to interact in business functions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent writing skills, with ability to express technical knowledge, procedures and processes in clear, orderly and easily understood presentation.
Results driven.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize.
Superior PC skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
Experienced with MS Project or equivalent project management software.
