Oracle Developer-Investment Banking/Trading

My client a Large International Investment Bank has requested that I identify a Sr. Oracle Developer who has worked within an Investment Banking environment.  This person will be writing the PL-SQL scripts between the MANTAS system being used for AML surveillance and an Oracle Database/Warehouse

 

Experience required:

 

3-5 years experience in developing effective database solutions using Oracle within a UNIX environment.

The following skills are essential:Oracle 9i PL/SQLUnix Shell ScriptingPerformance analysis and tuning

 

Experience should include the following aspects:Environment management : looking after development, test and production environments, through a structured delivery cycleExcellent control and release management experienceAbility to technically document architectureHands-on writing codeImplementation experience Performance tuning

 

2+ Years working within an Investment Bank or Trading Compliance environment.

 

Experience of following highly desirable:ETL Tools (in particular Informatica Powermart)

 

Exposure to the following is a bonus, but not essential:MantasWebLogic (v7)LDAPJava JavascriptAutosys ClearcaseTest Director

 

Skills and Knowledge:

 Strong Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX exposure from a development perspective is mandatory. The successful individual will also have a good understanding of ETL and project life cycle concepts.Self-starter & highly motivated with excellent communication skills.Thorough but pragmatic.Articulate and well presented.Delivery focused.
