The Role:

Summary:

The candidate will be working with a talented group of engineers in the Netflix IT Applications department. The IT Applications department is responsible for supporting Customer billing, Finance, Purchasing and Receiving departments. We act as an interface between Web Engineering, CRM and Logistics teams. We use Oracle E business suite 11i (GL/AP/AR/PO/INV) for core financials, and have built extensions to it, in a loosely coupled way for customer billing, purchasing and receiving. In addition to the above, we are responsible for generating DVD orders for customers taking into account the inventory available at various Netflix hub locations, and the shortest route possible to meet the customer demand.




Candidate is responsible for managing the developers who support / extend Oracle 11i Applications and related J2EE systems in both Web-based and Web-enabled environments as well as for directing the overall technical design, implementation, management of existing custom systems connected to Oracle ERP, and building loosely coupled systems connecting to oracle ERP as per the business requirement.


The essential job functions are:

? Strong problem solving skills with an eye for the big-picture and capable of delving into details when required. Must be creative; be able to develop new simple approaches to complex design problems.

? Must think ahead strategically and must be able to weigh and decide between implementing new oracle ERP functionality and custom development.

? Provides day to day technical directions to the staff of Oracle and J2EE /.net developers; act as a technical guide and mentor to other team members.

? Partners on the requirements analysis and does effective technical design and deciding on the approach that ensures all end to end systems work together effectively and reliably in support of the business. This includes working with

? IT Business analysts
? Financials users / analysts
? Procurement analysts / users
? Data ware housing analysts
? Development leads / Engineers.

? Implement and maintain detailed project plan, prioritize and set the expectations to business related to new systems, enhancements and maintenance and meet the scheduled estimates.

Experience & Competencies:

Required:

? The position requires a minimum of 10 years IT experience with a minimum of
? 5 years managing experienced developers.
? 5 years of from scratch development experience including analysis, design, development and implementation.
? 5 years of Oracle ERP 11i/10.7 (GL/AP/AR/PO/INV).

? Must have hands on experience and techno functional.

? Must have extensive experience in management of a staff of highly technical Oracle Apps and J2EE / .net developers.

? Expert level project management expertise.

? Must demonstrate sound analytical and problem solving skills as well as effective presentation skills ? both written and verbal.

? Must have a customer (Business Partner)-focused view of service and support.

? Experience with Oracle middleware components, Oracle Applications server, and developer tools including Jdeveloper, Developer Suite, BPEL.

? Ability to develop complex data models.

? Highly skilled in managing multiple projects.

? Good understanding of standard SDLC process.

? Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to translate complex technical issue into business terms. Ability to work with both technical team and business people to generate consensus around technical directions.

Education:
