Oracle HR Programmer/Analyst

We are looking for a programmer/analyst on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments. This position is based in Merrimack, NH.

 

 

Summary

This position is for a consultant programmer analyst/software developer  to work in systems supporting Voyager Back Office Reporting.  The individual would be part of a small team doing any of the following:  defining and developing solutions, supporting performance, integration and acceptance testing, ensuring successful delivery of reports to the CSW application, and perhaps supporting back office user training. 

 

ResponsibilitiesAssisting in the estimation of development effort Participates in the review of the Business Requirements Participates in the technical system design process by serving as the knowledge expert for development resources Collaboration with business analysts to help define data requirements and analytical approaches to business problems.Be able to focus strong technical experience and project management skills to ensure software product development is delivered on time and of the highest quality. Be responsible for developing software, unit tests and release notes in order to deliver a high-quality solution to customers.

Formal project life-cycle methodology experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent education or experience Proven ability to effectively manage your time. Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment with ease. Ability to work as an individual contributor and in a cross matrix environment when needed. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, to deal with constant change, and to participate in continual process improvement are required Bills project hours to the project tracking system as they are accrued Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Actively participates in uncovering and resolving project issues Motivated, self-directed, innovative, proactive Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills 5+ years technical and analytical experience as a mainframe system developer, analyst and/or manager with demonstrated achievements Ability to work in Unix and MVS operating system environments. Experience in managing small to mid size projects.


Preferred:Expertise in HR or Payroll highly desired. Knowledge of Oracle and related HR/Payroll systems (HR Access) is preferred Knowledge of HR Access a preferred Knowledge of Fidelity systems and organization structure preferred An aptitude for understanding and defining technology and architecture end to end. Experience with an enterprise class Source Code Management system like Clearcase or is a plus. Strong knowledge of reporting tools and software Experience with Oracle/SQL and UNIX. Experience in Java programming Knowledge of database concepts and SQL a plus Procedural programming background. Relational Database experience — DB2 a required, Oracle a plus Experience developing in COBOL
