Oracle PL/SQL and .Net Developer

Our client?is one of the world's leading lessors of intermodal dry containers, and the largest lessor of intermodal container chassis in the U.S.



An intermediate to high-level Developer is needed for Use Case driven application development in a VS.NET (VB) and Oracle PL/SQL environment. Business domain is asset leasing in the transportation industry.? Supply chain, Logistics and Finance experience is also applicable. Experience with a structured iterative development methodology is required.

This is a long term contract position.

?



This position designs and develops solutions from use cases and other requirements specifications in the proscribed software architectural framework in conformance with project standards and industry best practices; occasionally interacts with domain experts/business representatives regarding use cases and system requirements definitions. Must be focused and work well with aggressive development targets.

Responsibilities:

Develops and modifies ASP.NET web server code (implemented in VB.NET).



Develops and modifies web browser code (i.e. client-side scripting of the IE browser).



Develops and modifies Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures and functions.



Interacts with team Business Analysts on business requirements and system design.



Interacts with other team members regarding intersecting areas of the system.



Participate in the system testing and deployment processes including the development of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support deployment.



Occasionally creates and/or revises Use Cases for the pertinent functionality.



Coordinates with the efforts of others on the team for the specific module.



Conducts unit testing on the software components for this module.



Occasionally interacts with business stakeholders regarding system requirements.



Interacts with IT management regarding work assignments and status

Requirements

Team-Oriented, Detail-Oriented Individual, Effective Communicator (both written and verbal)
Experience in the Intermodal Transportation Industry, Supply Chain or Logistics.

Require experience with web browser based application development.
