The Services workforce is made up of four groups: Client Operations, Project Based, Delivery Centers and BPO Businesses.  Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Center or, in some cases, an Accenture office.

 

Job Description 
The position requires significant experience supporting Oracle database environments (75%). The position will also provide administration of the PeopleSoft Financials, HRMS and ePRO environments (25%).


The following represents the tasks/skills needed from an Oracle DBA perspective. (75%)
?Maintain the highest level of availability of the databases
?Plan and implement backup and recovery of the database
?Implement and enforce security for all of the databases
?Monitor the databases and optimize database performance and use of resources
?Offer assistance to developers in optimizing their applications, queries, etc.
?Administer all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures
?Control migrations of schema changes and stored programs through the development life cycle
?Installation and configuration of the RDBMS, version upgrades and support of data definition language and data dictionaries
?Table partitioning
?Disk sizing and Raid level recommendations
?Disaster recovery Cluster and failover stragegies
?Performance planning
?Capacity planning
?Performance tuning
?Team lead responsible for overall performance of 5 person database administration team, including self.

 

The following represents the tasks/skills needed from a PeopleSoft perspective (25%):
?Insuring that the PeopleSoft Oracle databases follow the client Oracle Standard
?Monitor the PeopleSoft file systems on UNIX and Windows platform
?Refresh dev/test/emr PS environments from production
?Assist in the planning of new PeopleSoft environments
?Assist in installation and migration of PeopleSoft code to the web servers, application servers, and process scheduler servers
?Assist in  upgrading PeopleSoft application code on the web servers, application servers, and process scheduler servers
?Assist in upgrading PeopleTools on the web servers, application servers, and process scheduler servers. Creating new PeopleSoft environments
?Troubleshooting the application
?Troubleshooting the web server, application servers and process schedulers
?Assisting the application leads with establishing security on the NT platform
?Assisting the application leads with establishing security on the UNIX platform, if applicable
?Migration of PeopleSoft code to the NT production share
?Insuring that the PeopleSoft Oracle databases follow the client Oracle Standard

 

 

Qualifications

 

?5+ years of Oracle database administration
?2+ years with PeopleSoft Financials/ePro applications, PT v8
?2+ years with PeopleTools, PS security, PS migration, PeopleSoft 3-tier architecture
?2+ years of SQL

 

Nice to Have Qualifications

?2+ years of SQL Server
