Oracle Security DBA

COCC, located in Avon, CT, the leading outsourcing and software development company for community financial institutions throughout the Northeast, is currently recruiting for an Oracle Security DBA. We are looking for a DBA with production experience in a multi-database environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years working with Oracle on a UNIX platform. The successful candidate will install, configure, maintain, and provide technical support for Oracle databases used for testing, development, and production. Selected individual will lead security initiatives that include patching and upgrades to the Oracle software.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:5+ years experience as an Oracle DBA with knowledge and skills in Oracle 8i/9i database administration techniques running on a UNIX platform (AIX) Strong knowledge of Oracle software installations, patching, and configuration Experience in the use of database management tools for database administration Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Experience at troubleshooting Oracle problems utilizing Metalink Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform as a self-starter, work with limited supervision & work effectively in a team environment Availability for 24 x 7 on-call support pager rotation
JOB ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:Required Education - Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent work experience. Experience working in a fast-paced technical environment.
