Oracle and SQL Server DBA - Jersey City

A FULL SERVICE GLOBAL INVESTMENT BANK AND INSTITUTIONAL SECURITIES FIRM IS LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING ORACLE AND SQL SERVER DBA SUPERSTAR!!!

 

Client is looking for a DBA who has good knowledge of both Oracle and SQL Server. The position will be located in Jersey City . Salary will be consistent with salaries offered to Senior SQL Server DBA's. - to $140k+

Job Responsibility 
The candidate will be the primary DBA for Oracle but the majority of the candidates time will be spent working with and supporting Microsoft SQL Server. Client has three Oracle servers (1 Production,1 - QA and 1 - DR).


The majority of clients databases are SQL Server and Sybase.
The candidate should know both Oracle and SQL Server really well. The candidate will be expected to participate in Oracle, SQL Server support immediately and will eventually participate in Sybase Support.

Skills the candidate must have         Good, solid knowledge of  Oracle 10G         Good  knowledge of Oracle Internals         Good knowledge of Oracle  Performance & Tuning         Good knowledge of OEM and DataGuard         Excellent Oracle  administration skills         Excellent knowledge of vbscript.         Excellent shell scripting knowledge if experience is with Unix or Linux.         3 or more years of experience with Oracle         Good solid knowledge of SQL Server 2000         Good knowledge of SQL Server internals         Good knowledge of SQL Server replication         Good knowledge of SQL Server Performance & Tuning         Excellent sql server administration skills         Excellent knowledge of DTS packages         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal         Team player


The following skills are not required but a plus Knowledge of SQL Server 2005 Background in application development
