PC Support Technician

The purpose of this position is to provide general PC technical support to a growing company of more than 220 people.  This is a full-time temporary position, with an expected duration of approximately 3 months.  There is potential for continued regular employment. 

 

NOTE: This position is based in Waitsfield, VT and Barre, VT.  Candidates must either live in this area, or be willing to interview and relocate at their own expense.        

Major Responsibilities:

?  Configure new computers

?  Set up new employee workstations

?  Install software; MS Office, Adobe, CAD packages, etc?   

?  Basic troubleshooting of PC and/or software related problems   

         

Minimum Required Qualifications:

?  Some college education, ideally in Computer Information Systems

?  Some experience configuring new computers

?  Familiarity with Windows XP Pro

?  Familiarity with MS Office 2000

 

Physical demands:

?  Will be moving and setting up computers/monitors, so should be able to lift 50 pounds. 



Preferred Qualifications:      

?  Associates degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science

?  At least one year experience configuring computer systems

?  Strong understanding of Windows XP and 2000 Pro

?  Ability to support MS Office 2000 and 2003

?  Basic understanding of computer networking

?  Experience with disk imaging is ideal
