Major Duties:

Responsible for day-to-day technical set-up and operation of CE Lab/Video.

Define step-by-step Video device integration plan for first-pass phase by CE CHILA signatories.

Create detailed test plans for more formal User Acceptance Testing after Cablelabs Certification.

Work closely with CE engineers when in CE Lab.

Handle scheduling of CE integration/test waves and communicate results to CE companies.

Work with related Comcast and its JV development/test groups as necessary to provide additional integration/debug support to CE manufacturers as required.

Scope unique requirements of Comcast infrastructure for Video devices, gaps in Cablelabs certification testing and define test plans and procedures to account for them. For OCAP, examples are OCAP Services Libraries, Navigator, VOD, M-CARD and IP Provisioning/Billing, total boot up sequence, etc.

Define and communicate unique Comcast requirements and implementation choices to CE CHILA companies

Having a good understanding of the start-up and detailed end-to-end operation of Host 2.0 OCAP devices including the interactions between OCAP applications and OCAP Stack/Host and OCAP servers and interactions between headend devices, M-CARD, Host and applications.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Qualifications
Education:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; Masters Degree preferred.
Experience:

10+ years experience in hardware and software product development and testing of complex digital products involving intensive interactions with a digital cable network. Experience must include work on several actually deployed set-top or related products with major software components.

Must have practical experience in Java and OCAP/MHP and IP protocol and demonstrated ability to integrate and debug complex systems.

Must have deep knowledge and experience in designing with Digital TV and IP and OCAP standards (MPEG2, TCP/IP suite, SCTE, Opencable, OCAP, DSG, DOCSIS, etc.).
