Summary Description:

 

Web application development role in a growing company in the health insurance industry working to deliver web-based solutions to companies in the insurance/benefits industry.

 

Responsibilities & Skills:

 Experience in developing user intuitive front-end interfaces with high performance back-end processes using object oriented programming languages.

 Strong ability to develop web applications with cross-browser compatibility and according to current standards

 Able to design, develop and implement software packages as web services across all phases of the product life cycle

 Interested in learning, and discussing the merits of emerging technologies, and their validity at the enterprise level.

 Troubleshoot, debug and update existing software and application code

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 Displays creative problem solving skills

 Adaptable to changing environments and priorities, able to multi-task well

 Professional work ethic and output

 

Job Requirements:

 

? Requires at least 6 years of experience developing advanced web-based user interfaces and software packages.

?  A degree in Computer Science or a related area is a definite plus. Requires advanced knowledge of PHP, ASP, Java Script, CSS, MS SQL Server and DHTML.

?  Experience with PERL, Subversion, XML/XSL, XHTML, and AJAX/XMLHTTPRequest highly desirable.

?  Position reports to Director of Product Development.
