JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

As a Web Programmer, you will be responsible for writing database driven Intranet/Extranet applications.  You will work on many different projects, from building new applications to reengineering old ones through the entire project cycle; design, development, quality assurance, implementation and support. We are looking for long-term, full-time employees only who are self-motivated, dependable, have a positive attitude and can work effectively as a team member.  This position will be based in Clifton Park, NY.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

 Expert knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, XML, XHTML and JavaScript.Experience with Ajax (Async Javascript And XML) a plusFamiliarity with Web 2.0 conceptsExperience with database design and deployment for dynamic DB driven sites using MySQL (Microsoft SQL, Oracle or other ODBC compliant databases are a plus)Ability to estimate, prioritize and manage multiple projects in deadline-driven environmentExpected to work well with others including non-technical personnel and deal with internal/external clients with care and respect. Ability to communicate well with others including non-technical personnel. Participation in external and internal project meetings and contributing exciting, creative ideas as possible solutions for project strategy and architecture.Debugging and testing skillsMust have ability to determine and document functional and non-functional requirements as well as the ability to communicate effectively and stay motivated.Providing end-user technical support for developed softwareExpert problem solving a mustPassion for creating and producing quality work!

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 This position requires a BA/BS in Computer Sciences with emphasis on programming

 

Or

 3+ years of full-time programming experience in a disciplined software development environment
