Job Description


The Self Service Solutions Product Manager will be responsible for the lifecycle management of customer ordering and space management solutions from inception through de-release across Compass Group, Americas’ Division.


The position requires a proven ability to deliver to market value-add technology programs required to support Compass’ continued growth as the world’s #1 foodservice company.


Key role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:



Supplier & product portfolio management


Requirements, integration & development management


Commercial and contractual negotiation


Procurement


Development of processes and procedures, standards definition


Lifecycle product management


Solution testing & QA


Establishment of support, maintenance and deployment plans/resources


Recipe to Succeed:





The successful candidate will have an established track record in:



Effective evaluation and delivery of complex technology solutions


Aligning products and services to specific business requirement and industry trends


Delivering multiple-source solutions


Supplier management


Managing 3rd party/outsourced development/integration projects


Value proposition and business plan development


Phase gate product management


The candidate will be a good communicator, have a strong technical empathy, be abreast of industry/technology trends, have excellent business/commercial acumen and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of accounting & billing processes.


The successful candidate will also be able to: 



Operate under pressure and maintain focus against a back-drop of constantly changing priorities


Effectively work with legal, accounting and procurement functions


Deliver projects on time and to budget


The position will encompass a varying mix of both strategic and tactical activities and will require a hands-on, ‘can-do’ approach. 





Necessary Ingredients:






Minimum 8 years experience in a business-facing IT role


Minimum 3 years experience in customer self service technology (preferably gained in the retail sector)


Graduate degree (desirable, but not mandatory based on relevant business experience)


Travel required throughout North America
