Position Summary and Essential Functions:
This exciting career position will manage cutting-edge projects to ensure that they are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Key responsibilities will include developing, finalizing, and managing the timeline, resource, budget, and security plans for each project. The Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring the progress of projects and providing project status reports. This position ensures that projects are meeting internal quality control standards and that customer expectations are managed. Key responsibilities include performing actual-to-plan comparisons on project performance and requesting timeline extensions and/or additional monies, if necessary.

The Project Manager will play a critical role in cultivating and maintaining effective business relationships with customers and in turning ideas into future business opportunities. There will be opportunities to provide input regarding project management processes and assist in preparing cost and technical proposals. The Project Manager will play an integral part in the hiring and training of staff and providing input to management regarding the performance of project team members.

Qualifications:
Four year degree in Computer Science, Business or related field, and/or equivalent training and experience; 5 years experience managing projects using a formal project management methodology. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or MS Project 2003 a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus also. Positions working on contracts may require
US Citizenship.
