Packaging Layout Designer

 

StaffingMaster is currently assisting our client, Deflecto Corporation, in the search for a Packaging Layout Designer.

This position will be located in the Indianapolis, IN market.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

This position is responsible for all for all graphic needs for our hardware consumer products business including, packaging, price lists, catalog layout, brochures, sell sheets, website maintenance, promotional corrugated displays and layout sales newsletters. Other specific duties include:

 Working with marketing to produce catalogs, sell sheets, tech sheets etc.Work with sales and marketing to develop promotional displays for specific accounts. Ensure projects are completed on time, on spec, on budget.Meeting marketing goals and objectives as set out by the Marketing Manager.Packaging within the hardware packaging template.  Develop mock-ups and sample packaging.

 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor?s Degree in design, marketing or related field preferred.2 + years of experience in packaging design. Previous packaging experience in retail or wholesale environment preferred.Experience working with printers, preparing files to be sent out for print and proofing.Knowledge or experience photographing products a plus.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be very well organized and extremely detail-oriented and manage multiple priorities.Must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Must thrive working independently as well as in a team environment.Must be proficient in Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Excel, and Word. Mac experience preferred.Market knowledge of air distribution products for dryer, bath, HVAC and kitchen for retail and wholesale consumer products a plus.
