 PeopleSoft Financial Analyst 

 

   

POSITION STATUS: Full Time

           POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the internal PeopleSoft Finance users group, developing identified projects, upgrades or development as necessary to provide the highest level of customer support. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Responsible for adapting the PeopleSoft Finance model with local users within the company?s entities to include fit gap, functional and technical specifications.

 Responsible for performing testing of local configurations including standard set-up, reports, customization and interfaces in coordination with key users.

 Piloting Finance data conversion tasks; prepare data mapping, pilot data clean up done by key users, and test data loading.

 Responsible for adapting PeopleSoft Finance training; may provide training courses to users.

 Assists users in all areas of PeopleSoft Financials.

 Assists in projects designed to increase the efficiency of the PeopleSoft application.

 Works in coordination and cooperation with the PeopleSoft Applications Manager and the PeopleSoft Financial user group to evaluate, recommend and implement appropriate PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and training.

Implements team goals and objectives to achieve maximum functionality of the PeopleSoft ERP and achieve high customer satisfaction in the use of PeopleSoft.

 Responsible for the development, implementation and compliance of policies and procedures specific to PeopleSoft development, testing, maintenance, and application of upgrades, patches, and fixes.

 Implements long and short term strategic plans for PeopleSoft system maintenance, development, and upgrades.

 Conducts research and analysis on proposed projects, identifying potential negative and positive impact on various departments and processes

 Works with partners and others as needed to implement projects to achieve maximum value to global / shared services.

 Performs other job-related duties as required.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor?s degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field is required.

 

Must have five years experience in a functional/technical position supporting some combination of the following applications: Account Payable, Account Receivable, Billing, General Ledger, Purchasing, Inventory, Deal Management, Cash Management, Risk Management, and Project Costing. 

 

Must be proficient with People Code and People Tools.

Must have strong computer based data management and analysis skills.

 

Must have general operational knowledge of  Standard Financial best practices.

 

Must possess strong trouble shooting skills.

 

Must be willing to assist others, learn new skills, and participate in a productive team oriented environment

 

Must have valid driver?s license for state of residency and be insurable.

 

Must pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Knowledge of US GAAP and Accounting Standards

 

Experience with project management including milestones, issues and risks management.

 

Experience working within both a business and governmental environment.

 

Experience with multi-company and multi-departmental user support.

 

 

Salary 80-90K plus relocation and interview expense assistance plus some temporary housing.
