PeopleSoft Reporting Analyst
Job Description: The Business Systems Analyst position is for the PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) technical design, development, and application support for the new global Financial Transformation Programme, Project EAGLE, which will potentially be a five to eight year rolling project. The Analyst is responsible for development deliverables that support the project methodology. Once the new global system is implemented in the first country, the team will then support the new global system going forward, in addition to continuing the project rollouts to other countries.
Specific tasks for the EPM application technical analyst position are to:
Assist the Lead Analyst to gather business requirements for the application, document all business needs for the tasks assigned, and ensure compatibility with business needs
Work with programmer(s) to communicate possible technical restrictions to providing necessary functionality
Develop IT test scripts for application development in Test Director
Improve and automate processes wherever possible
Write thorough Functional and Technical specifications
Ensure code is developed to spec.
Deliver appropriate documentation (specs, support, issues/resolutions, lessons learned, configuration, test scripts/results) for the EPM application
Accountable for all phases of testing executed appropriately (unit, IST, functional, UAT) for the EPM applications
Accountable for accurate and timely status and issue communication for application IT project by working closely with the Application lead and promptly attending project team meetings
Assure compliance with external regulations, policies, procedures and standards
Work standard and non-standard hours to accomplish goals for international projects, including overtime when required
Manage rapidly changing priorities with a positive attitude in a fast paced environment
Infrequent U.S. travel required; may also have the opportunity to travel abroad
Job Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or comparable degree plus equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
At least one year technical development experience with PeopleSoft EPM (v8)
Knowledge of Allocations or Funds Transfer Pricing a plus
Experience with interacting with Finance to understand and match requirements with functionality of the tools available
Experience in designing, building, testing, & tuning PS Data Loader and Data Manager
Experience in developing an EPM warehouse that contains custom data in addition to using PeopleSoft delivered ERP maps
Experience in international financial institutions and multicurrency functionality a plus
Experience in developing an EPM warehouse/datamarts that will be used for management and/or regulatory reporting
Experience in interfacing with Cognos reporting tools a plus
Experience in developing and defining metadata in PeopleSoft EPM
Experience in developing Informatica and/or Ascential ETL maps a plus
Experience coding and debugging PeopleSoft Application Engines and PeopleCode
Experience coding and debugging customizations to pages using PeopleTools
Experience with using performance monitoring tools a plus
