The Technical Specialist will be working with the technical support team for a rapidly growing Peoplesoft General Ledger system based in Tampa, Florida. This position is responsible for creating customized solutions designed to meet the specifications as delivered from a functional support group of the system. This role will work closely with members of the functional support group similar in a manner that a business analyst would. From the specifications determined with the client, this position would create the necessary solutions using the common tools of the Peoplesoft Application development platform.

 

This position must also provide limited production support, primarily in the area of the creation and maintenance of Maestro Schedules and Jobs. This support will consist of being on-call for a month on a rotational basis shared by each member of the team.

 

Tracing abilities, knowledge of the system where log messages and error message outputs are located, and problem solving skills are a must and will be used when troubleshooting system failure. Ability to work under pressure and within critical timeframes while maintaining a professional demeanor are essential. System greenzones require that occasional support and work efforts will be schedule for late evening hours or on the weekends.

 

The ability to work independently, estimate future work accurately, and deliver according to tight timelines are invaluable in this position. Candidate must also be able to work well within a small workgroup comprised of dynamic individuals.



Requires 3+ years of Peoplesoft development experience. Must have experience level of the following Peoplesoft development tools as indicated:

 

* App Designer - expert

* App Engine - intermediate to expert

* PeopleCode - expert

* SQR - expert

* Crystal Reports - intermediate

* PL/SQL - intermediate to expert

* SQL - intermediate to expert

* XML - beginning to intermediate

* Shell Scripting - intermediate to expert

* Oracle Database experience - intermediate
