Job Description: Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. Perot Systems is currently looking for a Project Controls Specialist to join our team in RANCHO CORDOVA, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
The Project Controls Specialist serves as a team member for all project control functions. The position requires a broad technical knowledge of project control and design, and integration with project management and it requires strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.

The ideal candidate in the Project Controls position will develop project scope, and manage costs including actual costs, cost forecasting, estimates at-completion, and all aspects of earned value management systems. The Project Controls Specialist will measure performance and progress by conducting site visits & progress verification, participating in progress meetings, monthly portfolio reporting, and physical progressing. The position requires identification, analysis, and management of assumptions, issues and risks. It also requires an understanding of project change management including scope changes.

The position will focus on schedule management including developing resource loaded logic networks and work breakdown structures, and managing a critical path to ensure completion dates are met. In addition, the position emphasizes planning including facilitating project planning and control sessions, and developing integrated plans for cost, schedule and resource management as time-phased baselines against which performance is measured.

The ideal candidate will have five years of demonstrated ability utilizing Microsoft Project or Project Server to develop, update, and perform advanced analysis of project schedules. Candidates will also have basic MS Office skills and advanced EXCEL skills, and excellent computer systems skills with working knowledge of computer relational databases, computer estimating systems and budget control monitoring techniques. Position requirements include developing custom reports and dashboards, and documenting and delivering project status Information.

Required Skills:

Proven Project Management experience

Project Cost and Scheduling expertise

Project Controls experience

Desired Skills:

Project Management (PMP) or Cost Engineering (CCE) certification

Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Proven abilities in problem management and process analysis

Ability to create, manage and enhance customer relationships

5+ years experience in Program/Project management
Healthcare business and information technology background

Minimum Educational Requirements:

Some college

Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:

Create a strong project management governance structure.

Keep stakeholders and management informed.

Provide a framework for decision making.

Maintain an auditable record.

Strong mathematical and analysis skills.
