Plant Technology Manager

JELD-WEN Windows - Gainesville is searching for a plant technology manager.  In support of the key strategies and initiatives of the corporation, facilitate the implementation and effective use of systems and technology tools at the plant level.Perform the role of liaison between the corporate information systems department and the local plant management and staff.

Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates system and technology related activities between plant and the Corporate IS Department
2. Keeps appropriate plant and IS management abreast of activities.
3. Adheres to the corporate mission statements, policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.


Duties:
1.Training of plant personnel in the proper use of business systems including Titan and related systems with a focus on full utilization of existing systems.
2.Assists operations personnel in establishing office and plant procedures relating to information systems.
3.Coordinates the implementation and user training of new or improved information systems.
4.Submits all:
a. Non "report writing" program requests to the IS group through their Business Systems Manager.
b.Personal computer, communication/connectivity (i.e. LAN, WAN, E-Mail, etc.), and Internet/Intranet requests to the Corporate Network/PC Support Manager for assistance and/or guidance in procurement, installation and training.
c.Systems or database management requests (i.e. operating systems, job schedulers, print spoolers, report writers, database re-loads/reorganizations etc.) to the Corporate Systems/Database Administrator for assistance.

External Job Contacts:
1. All Group or Corporate user management and operational personnel.
2. All Corporate IS Department personnel.

Qualifying Experience:
1.Associates degree (preferably in business management, accounting, computer science)or equivalent. Bachelor's degree is desirable.
2. Knowledge in the operations of the specific plant supported is desirable.
3. Minimum of two years of work related experience.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
