Plumtree Software Engineer
Summary:
The Software Engineer (Plumtree) functions as a software engineer to support design, development, and maintenance of a United States Marine Corps (USMC) application developed to provide transition assistance to Marines who have chosen to leave active service and return to civilian life. The Software Engineer uses HandySoft BizFlow 8.7.4, Plumtree .NET (C#), Microsoft Visual Studio, custom code, portlets, UI customizations, and PEIs with an Oracle 9i database.
Specific Duties:
* Monitors code design specifications (Critical Design Review) and algorithms.
* Develops complicated code design specifications and algorithms.
* Develops and conduct coding standards, reviews, inspections.
* Spervises technical staff.
* Creates and monitors task assignments, and schedules.
* Provides project metrics.
* Assists Program Manager and/or client with technical decisions, white papers.
* Coordinates project purchases for development tools.
* Assists with inventory control of project funded implementation tools, computers, GFE, etc.
* Develops and conducts presentations to client on technical issues.
* Provides coding solutions as necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years full lifecycle software development experience required.
Additional Requirements:
* Experience with the following required: HandySoft BizFlow 8.7.4, Plumtree .NET (C#), Microsoft Visual Studio, Oracle 9i
* Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories of system design and programming.
* Ability to recognize software problems and develop creative solutions for simple to complex projects.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and apply corrective actions within a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and strong communication skills.
* Possession of an active TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance and designation as IT Level 1 required.
