The position of PMO Director (Portfolio/Program Management Office) has recently become available within McKesson Corporate Information Technologies. The PMO provides portfolio management, program management and governance support for McKesson IT Shared Services and CIT.Position Description

The position of PMO Director (Portfolio/Program Management Office) has recently become available within McKesson Corporate Information Technologies. The PMO provides portfolio management, program management and governance support for McKesson IT Shared Services and CIT.



Major activities and responsibilities of the PMO include:



Portfolio Management

-Provide visibility, assessment and recommendations associated with (1) the demand for IT services, (2) the alignment of IT investments with business objectives and priorities, (3) the capacity of the organization to meet demand, and (4) performance measurement against plans.

-Aggregate & report on demand, prioritization, resource utilization, throughput, capacity

-Conduct preliminary programming of projects (slot scheduling) based on demand, business priorities, capacity.

-Aggregate, report, and assess portfolio-level performance against base-lined plans, escalation of potential conflicts, interdependencies, risks, and issues

-Identify cross-BU collaboration opportunities

-Assist executive management in the planning process, support trade-off decision making, and the identification of opportunities for greater effectiveness and efficiencies.



Governance Support

-Support and facilitate ITSS Buyers Council and CIT Investment Council

-Provide support to establish, implement, and oversee McKesson?s Corporate IT governance framework, processes, and policies

-Own and monitor overall business request process from receipt through assignment of PM and transfer to Build team

-Partner with Plan team to provide due diligence on incoming project requests to appropriately dispatch, route to technology/buyers council, validation of prioritization

-Contribute to development and collection of balanced scorecard metrics related to customer satisfaction surveys, and project delivery process satisfaction.

-Communicate outcomes of governance bodies and customer surveys to senior IT and business leaders.



Program Management

-Provide centralized program management structure, standardized methodology, processes and mechanisms

-Oversee and coordinate, and/or manage planning and execution of key CIO, ITSS, and/or CIT strategic initiatives

-Identification of program objectives, deliverables, integrated schedules, management of inter-dependencies, and performance measurement against plans.Minimum Requirements

-8+ years experience in project management, requirements definition and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems including 7+ years managerial experience.

-4+ years of project/program management experience.

-2+ years of personnel management experience.

-Ability to develop and manage relationships at high levels both with CIT customers (CEO,COO,CFO level) and across CIT functional areas.

-Strong organizational skills.

-Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.

-Strong skills at handling difficult situations requiring active listening, creative issue -solution definition (internal and external), issue solution negotiation.

-Strong office automation skills

-Ability to travel (approximately 20%).Additional Knowledge & Skills

-Previous PMO leadership responsibilities with demonstrated results.

-Master's degree with emphasis in business, service management, computer sciences, and/or healthcare services or commensurate experience.Education

Bachelor's degree with emphasis in business, service management, computer sciences, and/or healthcare services or commensurate experience.Certifications
