Principal Applications Engineer (MCU/DSP)

A growing company in the Phoenix Metropolitan area (East Valley) is looking for a Principal Applications Engineer. We are looking for candidates nationwide that are willing to relocate to the Phoenix area. Once again, the position is in Phoenix, Arizona. The Applications Engineer will develop product datasheets and reference manuals from design specifications as well as create application notes and demonstration software and hardware to help customer product development. This position will provide customer technical support for 16 bit MCU products. The selected Engineer will travel to meet with customers, make technical presentations, and provide technical support.

Candidates must have 6-12 or more years of microntroller hardware and/or software experience to include 16-bit Embedded software development and debugging. Solid fundamentals in DSP theory and application experience are required. Experience with speech and audio-based applications and algorithms as well as experience in testing silicon (Silicon validation) are required. This involves development of Embedded software for MCUs and DSPs and testing of silicon to ensure proper operation. Some hardware design is preferred, but the candidate must be comfortable with debugging hardware. Good presentation skills are necessary. There will be some worldwide travel (10-15%) to meet with customers.
