Principal Software Analyst

CITY: Burlington STATE: Vermont COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Principal Software Analyst serves as application expert from both a systems and functional perspective. The primary responsibility of the Principal Software Analyst is to act as a functional resource for the entire company and customer base for recommending, planning, and leading the direction of large scale or very complex projects. He/she will serve as a key functional resource for special projects or on client project teams on an as needed basis. The Principal Analyst will be responsible for meeting with customers (on-site or through conference calls) to assist them in analyzing their needs and providing insight into GEHC Products and their functionality. The Principal Analyst will act as a coach / mentor for other application analysts within the company and assist them in their skill development.

Qualifications/Requirements:
This candidate must be competent in all skills and responsibilities of an Lead Software Analyst which include:
1. The candidate must be able to independently manage projects and analyze complex tasks
2. The candidate must be able to act as the lead functional resource for large scale projects such as upgrades
3. The candidate must be able to apply an expert working knowledge of the major Centricity Business Services applications, including integration points
4. The candidate must be willing to actively contribute to the improvement of productivity through the use of tools and/or processes used

In addition to these base level qualifications, the applicant must also posses the following skills:

Is able to work independently on projects of above average complexity
Is able to coach and mentor staff in the development of their customer service skills
Is able to take GEHC strategy and translate that into team objectives
Is able to perform a consultative role for customers on various applications
Must posses knowledge of two or more major processes within GEHC such as Customer Support, Installations, Solution Creation, and Solution Selling
Must posses expert functional understanding in several areas of our customer's business
Is able to demonstrate expertise in advanced customer service skills such as Project Management and Problem Solving
Must posses advanced levels of the Healthcare Industry knowledge

Desired:
The candidate must be an expert in the soft skills necessary for a software analyst such as strong interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational or project management skills, and customer service skills or past experience in the Healthcare Service industry
It is desired that the candidate possess advanced presentation skills for performing internal/external seminars, training classes, user's group presentations, and on-site meetings with our existing or prospective customers.

Preferred minimum education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or related field (or a High School diploma/GED and at least 8 years experience doing financial accounting, medical billing or software support role for GEHC applications.
