Principal Software Quality Engineering

Champions the practice of agile testing and test automation in the organization
Host brown bags lunches and lead testing user community
Defines and implements test automation framework to support Regression testing and work closely with development teams, testers and analysts to teach key team members how to automate and use automation for functional and acceptance testing
Provides hands-on technical consulting on automation issues, tools and processes
Evaluates, recommends and maintains tools to automate testing
Drives the use of software test automation for iterative regression testing to support XP/Agile development methodologies
Establishes standards, best practices and governance for manual and automated testing.
Recommends techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
Designs and teaches testing classes
Mentors tester on a one-on-one basis
Champions and drives changes through focus on targeted systems and issues and pilot projects
Brings leadership and credibility to quality initiatives


EDUCATION:




Bachelor degree required. Masters degree preferred.




EXPERIENCE:





Minimum 8 years related experience in software testing which must include testing/development in XP/Agile environment
Advanced understanding of Test Automation frameworks
Advanced computer software skills, software quality assurance and test design
Experience using automated testing tools for unit, functional and acceptance testing such as FIT/FitNess, QuickTest Pro, Junit, Xunit, and HttpUnit
Mentoring and coaching experience is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work; proven leadership ability
