Position Summary
Under general direction of the Manager ? Product Quality Assurance, responsible for writing test plans and scripts based on requirements documentation. Creates and implements test plans and test cases for a Unix and Windows based application; develops and maintains the automation to test programs that make up the suite of Applications with a high level of documentation and repeatability.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1.Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure software meets or exceeds standards and end-user requirements.
2.Executes moderately complex tests according to established plans and scripts; documents problems in a defect/issue tracking system and retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
3.Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
4.Drafts and revises moderately complex test plans and procedures.
5.Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance effectiveness of Quality Assurance strategies.
6.Assists in planning and scheduling testing.
7.Responsible for configuration management of software builds and documentation; supports the change management process with a focus on smooth implementations and/or changes.
8.Reproduces customer issues when needed in order to support the service department and the development group.
9.Performs upgrades to customer systems; occasionally travels to the customer site in order to perform applicable upgrades.
10.Supports technical issues, upgrades, and upgrades as needed by the various internal departments such as training, service, and marketing.
11.Performs related duties as assigned.


Educational Details
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor?s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years related and progressively responsible experience; previous exposure to automated testing products and unit testing.
