Production Application Support Analyst

Our client is one of the largest branded food supplier in the United States. Our client is in need of a Production Application Support Analyst for its Corporate office in Miami, FL.


 

Purpose of Position

Responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of application availability, performance, maintenance, capacity, upgrade and release of the company's Fresh Produce Corporate applications.  Effective oversight of these key application elements must be achieved through a combination of proper management of third party hosting and application software providers as well as hands on.

 

ResponsibleOversee the technical aspects of the Oracle Applications EnvironmentMonitor and adjust third party provider services associated with hosting and operationsEnsure effective ID Management, Performance, Backup and Patch ReleaseOversee the technical aspects of the Cognos Applications Environment
Monitor and adjust third party provider services for application hosting and SW maintenance
Ensure effective ID Management, Performance and Patch Release Regular review and improvement of operational processes and procedures
Implementation of new process definitions across third party providers and internal Conduct Monthly reviews of IT Access to production environments
Provide bi-annual access control lists to business system owners for review and revision Work with third party and internal DBA services to ensure effective operation of application DB's
Document legacy architectures where none are defined Ensure off hour availability when required to support critical operations
Follow up on critical outages with adequate RCA documentation and followup Actively participate and support team needs and requirements without hesitation
Proactively improve operational environment and effectiveness Provide project teams with transition to operations requirements
Provide project teams with ongoing operational costs during project phases Adhere to all IT policies, procedures, and standards On-going review and monitoring of the help desk performance and 3rd party SLA management on-going review and monitoring of incidents in the Unicenter system Support of any new applications as they get added to the environment

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements3-5 years Supporting Business Applications Experience with Third Party IT Outsourcing Experience in Windows and Linux Environments Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills Looking for an individual who comes from an environment where IT outsourcing leveraged at some level.
