Production Support Engineer

MarketAxess operates one of the leading platforms for the electronic trading of corporate bonds and certain other types of fixed-income securities, serving as an electronic platform through which our more than 500 active institutional investor clients can access the liquidity provided by our 19 broker-dealer clients. MarketAxess' multi-dealer trading platform allows our institutional investor clients to simultaneously receive competitive, executable bids or offers from multiple broker-dealers, and to execute trades with the broker-dealer of their choice. MarketAxess offers our clients the ability to trade U.S. high-grade corporate bonds, European high-grade corporate bonds, U.S. Treasury, and emerging markets bonds. MarketAxess also provides data and analytical tools that help our clients make trading decisions and we facilitate the trading process by electronically communicating order information between trading counterparties.Production /Security Support Engineer

 

 

This position is in the Production and Customer Support department that has responsibility for application support and external customer technical support for our fixed income trading customers.  The department also handles security administration for the firm.  The individual will be responsible for automation, monitoring and support of proprietary trading and back office applications.  This position has extensive client interaction.  This position will be from 10am - 6pm and will require some after hours coverage on a scheduled basis.

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

Three to Five years relevant experience, including:

 Extensive Windows and Unix troubleshooting skillsSQL experience (Oracle, Sybase, SQL server)Windows / Unix Administration ExperienceMust be detail oriented and a self-starterMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills as they may be interacting with senior management on issuesExperience in a fast paced, trading floor environment

 



Preferred Skills:

 Previous experience in financial services a plusExperience with Control - M Scheduling PackageExperience with Mercury BAC Monitoring Suite Batch/Shell/Perl scripting experience
