Our compensation and benefits are very competitive.Program Manager, Scientist Alzheimers Responsibilities Develop and manage the research, development, and regulatory programs leading to the successful launch of EEG-based product(s) for 1) Identifying patients early in the course of Alzheimers disease, and 2) Managing pharmacologic therapy in dementia patients. 3) Coordinate efforts with the directors of engineering and marketing in specifying a novel EEG-based medical product. 4) Coordinate efforts with the director of algorithm development to refine and develop EEG-based indices. 5) Develop strong relationships with academic and clinical thought leaders in the fields of Alzheimers disease and dementia. 6) Design protocols for clinical trials to collect data for the development of the indices, and to prospectively validate their efficacy and clinical utility. 7) Provide scientific and technical support for submission of claims to the FDA. Requirements Candidates with MS or PhD in electrical/(bio)medical engineering or computer science are preferred; however, all highly qualified candidates with a BS degree in biomedical are encouraged to apply. 5+ years experience with algorithm development is highly desirable. 5+ years management experience in the development of medical devices or biological instruments is higly desireable. Must be proficient as a scientific programmer in C, Unix shell script, and MATLAB. Mastery of signal processing and digital filtering techniques is essential. Familiarity with non-linear systems theory, statistics, electrode theory, neurophysiology and physiological psychology is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills Prior experience in managing clinical trials is preferred. Prior regulatory experience in submitting claims to FDA is preferred.
