Program Manager to $134k+ -

Job Description: The successful Program Manager will ensure that the projects proceed on schedule and remain within scope and budget. This will require the Program Manager to work closely with contractors, other agencies, and stakeholders involved in the Downtown Restoration to resolve conflicts that may impede work activities from advancing. The Program Manager will oversee design and construction activities provided by the Engineering Department and its consultants, report progress of work activities at meetings and through reports to the Administration and its consultant, and prepare presentation materials and letters to stakeholders in the Restoration activities. In addition, the Program Manager will obtain permits and approvals, negotiate property easements, construction agreements and funding of work for third parties, review and manage costs and prepare authorization documents for the Board of Commissioners. The qualified Program Manager will be a leader, manager and problem solver with project management experience on projects of similar size, scope and complexity and will have a Bachelor's Degree in either Engineering or Architecture. The candidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating design efforts and construction activities in areas such as architecture, mechanical, electrical or civil/structural engineering; extensive knowledge of project management scheduling, code compliance, and multi-discipline engineering and construction principles; superior oral and written communications and presentation skills; and be a quick learner, able to assimilate procedures related to project management, document control, financial and administrative systems.
