Programmer Analyst – C++, COM, .NET & SQL MSDE – IS

Job Duties










Versed in use of dev. tools/industry standards/IS standards,authors analysis doc. as defined by SDM, translate requirements of low to moderate complexity to prog. specs., write prog. specs. of moderate to high complexity from high-level specs., write prog. of low to high complexity matching detailed specs., develop/execute tests  This position is responsible for quality coding and unit test while working with subordinates and peers in a team environment. Development methodology includes translating requirements into technical design, coding and verifying code, creating builds and objects, develop and execute unit tests to assure quality, supporting QA testers, and phase appropriate documentation and management reporting. Additional tasks include requirement reviews, evaluations and estimates, input to project planning, client integration support and debugging, and maintaining high quality standards.







Knowledge and Skills 











Requires good oral and written communication, planning, organizing, controlling, decision-making, problem-solving, accountability, initiative, analysis and judgment skills.  The level of proficiency of each skill should be appropriate for the job position. Strong C++ Programming skills with Microsoft Windows experience. Versed in use of development tools and industry standards. Proficiency in analysis, design, code, unit test, integration and deployment support. The ability to design and write programs specs and complex programs to meet user requirements and develop and execute appropriate tests. Familiarity with MFC and C++, COM, .NET and SQL MSDE. Requires good oral and written communication, planning, initiative, organizing, accountability, and interpersonal skills. Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline and 3-5 years work experience in systems analysis and application programming development.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Do you have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience? Do you have 3-5 years programming experience? Do you have any relatives who work for UPS or any of its Subsidiaries? Are you a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer? Are you willing to work in Paramus, New Jersey Have you used C++ in a work enviornment in the past two years? Have you used MFC in the last 2 years Do you have work related experience within the last 2 years with COM Do you have experience using SQL MSDE within the last 2 years?
