Job Description:

Programmer Analyst responsible for the design and development of various data marts that are integrated with the Pharmacy Data Warehouse. Design, develop, and support software components using Walgreen's ETL, Data Modeling, Query Tools and OO languages. Deliver user requirements documents and follow application development process. May work individually, or as a member of or leader of project development teams.



Essential Skills:

Responsible for the analysis, design and development of batch processes. These processes will work independently or may integrate with other applications. Drive data analysis process and help solve complex business process issues. Develops and maintains systems and programs to include system and program design; program coding; test plan design and implementation to verify accuracy of programs and the interdependent relationship of programs and systems; system and program analysis for satisfying user needs, maintainability and efficiency.



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or rrelated degree with 2 or more years of experience. Must have strong ETL development background. Strong experience in Perl, Shell scripting,SQL, PL/SQL and other programming languages and be able to optimize and tune complex queries. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required. Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary due to project deadlines and support issues is required. Knowledge of BI tools like Business Objects is a plus.
